About Everyday Math project

When mathematics is associated with daily life situations, students' motivation and success towards the lesson increase. Based on this scientific fact, this project will introduce students to interesting daily life situations and enable students to practice mathematics in cooperation in international teams. Thanks to an activity to be prepared by a teacher from a different country every month, students will learn mathematics with fun and create various common products. The activities will focus on the applications of mathematics in different fields (statistics, arts, nature, technology design, ICT etc.) in accordance with the interdisciplinary learning approach. Statistics & Science (Pandemic) A task in the eTwinning Everyday Math project.  Students dealt with it in the months of  January and February 2021. Students translated the common survey into the slovak language, printed it for 100 students of our school. The questions of survey: *What is your age? *What is your gender? Evaluation of survey

We applied the survey to 100 students in our school (Survey was in paper form). Out of 100 classmates, 87 filled out the questionnaire.  We first evaluated them manually and then processed them statistically using Google Tabs (using statistical formulas). Interviews

SUMMARY OF INTERVIEWS-TASK  1️⃣ We made an interview with a school manager and an English teacher about the survey questions or about our common topic in general.  We asked to teachers their opinions on how the pandemic process is experienced in their countries. What do teachers think about the effects of the pandemic and distance education on teachers, students and education? We spoke with the manager in Slovak language, English with our English teacher. Finally, we added English subtitles to the both videos. 2️⃣ We recorded these conversations on video. 3️⃣ We uploaded these two videos to project page and share theit with project partners. Online meeting

How we presented our results ONLINE PRESENTATIONS  were made in February 14-25th 2022. Presentations were made by students. Each meeting lasted 40 minutes.  Two national teams (countries) presented at each meeting.  Each team hed 15 minutes of presentation to present their method. Common results

Partial results of individual teams are finally processed. The obtained data were evaluated and a common e-book was prepared from the results obtained in English version.
