What is the statistics?

Statistics is a sub-branch of mathematics science. It is used to collect data in a methodical way and to convert the data into numbers with the help of mathematical formulas. After that these numberical datas are classified, organized and transformed into a more understandable form with tables and graphs. Statistics allows us to interpret various results and estimate many possibilities.Thus, it becomes easier for us to understand the events in our lives and draw conclusions about these events. Many questions in many fields are clarified through statistical studies. For example;The effect of the salinity in the lake on the life of the living things in the lake. 

The environmental and genetic factors that increase the risk of a certain type of cancer. The measurement of the general performance of football players and teams
Daily predictions about stock market activity etc. 

So, statistics is used in many branches of science.
